Itinerary
Trip starts and ends in Banff, Alberta
Day 1 (Sunday)
Welcome to Banff!
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Calgary Airport, just 2 hours away from the charming mountain town of Banff, Alberta. With several shuttle options to choose from, you’ll soon arrive at your hotel, right in the heart of Banff, where the breathtaking mountains tower above. Once you check in, the historic streets of Banff are yours to explore at your leisure—wander through quaint shops, visit cozy cafés, and take in the alpine beauty that surrounds you. This is the perfect way to kick off your Canadian Rockies adventure!

Day 2
Meet Your Guides and Hike Near Lake Louise
Rise and shine! After a delicious breakfast with your expert guides, you’ll get to know your fellow adventurers and hear all about the exciting week ahead. From there, we’ll head to Lake Louise Campground, the perfect base for your Rocky Mountain experience. Unpack, settle in, and get ready to hit the trails!
Our first hike takes you to Lake Annette, a hidden gem nestled in the alpine. The views here are absolutely breathtaking gaze at the majestic Mt. Temple and its hanging glacier reflecting off the serene waters. Afterward, we’ll visit the world-renowned Lake Louise, a pristine turquoise jewel framed by towering peaks. Snap some photos, soak in the beauty, and prepare for more stunning sights ahead.

Day 3
Waterfalls and Glaciers
Today is all about exploring the wild and dramatic beauty of Yoho National Park. We’ll start with the incredible Takakkaw Falls, the second-highest waterfall in Canada, plunging 1224 feet into a misty gorge. Prepare to be amazed! Then, we’ll head up the Yoho Valley, where the lush forest gives way to the rugged Iceline Trail. As we ascend, the landscape transforms into a jaw-dropping world of rock and ice, with views of glaciers, waterfalls, and towering peaks that will leave you speechless.
At camp, after a rewarding day of hiking, relax with a home-cooked meal prepared by your guides. Enjoy the tranquility of the Rockies as you sit around the campfire, swap stories, and make new friends.

Day 4
Jasper National Park and the Columbia Icefields
Buckle up for a scenic drive along Icefields Parkway, North America’s most spectacular highway. Our first stop is the iconic Peyto Lake, with its wolf-head shape and stunning turquoise waters—perfect for a photo op! From there, we’ll continue to Sunwapta Pass, where the high alpine trails await. The views here are otherworldly—snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and pristine alpine meadows spread out before you. You’ll feel like you’re walking through a postcard.

Day 5
Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks
Today, we’re visiting Moraine Lake, one of the most photographed places on Earth. With its deep blue waters and a backdrop of towering peaks, it’s easy to see why this spot is a must-see. After taking in the scenery, we’ll hike into the Valley of the Ten Peaks, where the views only get better. Starting with a series of switchbacks through the forest, we’ll soon emerge into the open, surrounded by jagged peaks, alpine meadows, and crystal-clear lakes. It’s a true Rocky Mountain highlight!
- Hike: 12 km / 7.4 mi, elevation gain 590 m / 1935 ft

Day 6
Kootenay National Park and Farewells
It’s our final day in the Rockies, and we’ll be wrapping up this incredible adventure with a hike to Stanley Glacier in Kootenay National Park. As we take in the views of Mt. Stanley, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment from the week’s epic hikes. Afterward, we’ll return to Banff, where your guides will drop you off at your chosen location, leaving you with memories to last a lifetime.
- Hike: 8 km / 5 mi, elevation gain 450 m / 1150 ft
- Meals: Breakfast and lunch
Your participation during meals clean up is not mandatory but it is greatly appreciated and helps the guides tremendously.

Terms & Conditions Policy
Deposit: A $650 CAD deposit (per person) is required when booking. If you are part of an exclusive group booking, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the trip fee is due at the time of booking. The balance is due 60 days prior to the trip.
Cancellation: You may cancel your tour at any time by notifying Rocky Mountain Cycle Tours via email at rockymountaincycletours@gmail.com.
If you decide to cancel your trip, the following fees apply at the time we receive written notice of your cancellation:
- Until 61 days: $250 CAD
- 31 to 60 days: 50% of trip cost
- 0 to 30 days: 100% of trip cost
We strongly recommend purchasing cancellation insurance through your travel agent.
