Itinerary
Trip starts and ends in Banff, Alberta
Day 1 (Sunday) — Welcome to the Rockies!
Your journey begins Banff or Canmore depending on your preferred pickup location. From here, enjoy a scenic drive through Banff and Jasper National Parks, soaking in some of the most breathtaking mountain vistas in the world. Midway, we’ll stretch our legs with a hike in the sub-alpine wilderness straddling the border of the two parks. The hike offers stunning views and the perfect introduction to the Rockies.
Afterward, we’ll continue to the charming mountain town of Jasper, your home for the next two nights.
- Hike: 4 miles (6.5 km), 1,115 ft (340 m) elevation gain
- Meals: Lunch and Dinner
- Overnight: Jasper Inn
Day 2 — Biking and Rafting Adventures
Start your day with a bike fitting session before pedaling to the breathtaking Maligne Canyon, the deepest canyon in the Canadian Rockies. Along the way, enjoy a ride through Jasper’s picturesque landscapes, followed by a stroll along the canyon’s trails, where photo opportunities abound.
After a relaxing lunch, it’s time to switch gears for an afternoon of adventure! Take on the Athabasca River with an exhilarating rafting experience, tackling up to Class III rapids.
Afterward, unwind back at the hotel and enjoy dinner at your own leisure in one of Jasper’s excellent restaurants.
- Cycle: 17.5 miles (28 km), 935 ft (285 m) elevation gain
- Rafting: 3 hours (up to Class III rapids)

Day 3 — Scenic Cycling and Glacial Wonders
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll head south from Jasper along a quiet valley road to the majestic Athabasca Falls. Along the way, we’ll stop at Mount Edith Cavell and the Angel Glacier to marvel at a glacial lagoon dotted with icebergs.
After lunch, we’ll hit the Icefields Parkway, cycling alongside the Athabasca River Valley to Sunwapta Falls Resort, your cozy retreat for the night.
Don’t miss a short evening walk to Sunwapta Falls before enjoying a delicious dinner.

Day 4 — High Alpine Hiking at Columbia Icefields
Today’s adventure takes us to the Columbia Icefields, home to North America’s largest landlocked icefield. Our hike through rolling meadows and high alpine terrain offers awe-inspiring views of some of Jasper National Park’s tallest peaks. This is one of the Rockies’ most iconic hiking experiences, so don’t forget your camera!
- Hike: Up to 7.5 miles (12 km), 1,394 ft (425 m) elevation gain
- Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
- Overnight: The Crossing Resort
Day 5 — Stunning Views and Iconic Lakes
After breakfast, we’ll continue along the Icefields Parkway for one of Banff National Park’s most picturesque hikes. Before starting, we’ll visit the famous Peyto Lake, known for its striking wolf-shaped silhouette and brilliant turquoise color.
The hike leads us through ancient forests to sub-alpine meadows blanketed with wildflowers. Enjoy a picnic by an alpine lake before descending back to the trailhead.
In the evening, we’ll visit Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, Canada’s most photographed lakes, and end the day with a group dinner at a historic venue, sharing stories and laughter.

Day 6 — Final Ride to Banff
Our adventure concludes with a spectacular ride from Lake Louise to Banff. Enjoy a gentle downhill ride along a scenic road, where stunning mountain views and potential wildlife sightings await. As you approach Banff, the sight of Mount Rundle signals the journey’s end.
Say your goodbyes near Banff, and let your guides drop you off at your preferred hotel. You’ll leave with incredible memories of the Canadian Rockies that will last a lifetime.

Terms & Conditions Policy
Deposit
A $650 CAD deposit (per person) is required when booking. If you are part of an exclusive group booking, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the trip fee is due at the time of booking. The balance is due 90 days prior to the trip.
Cancellation
You may cancel your tour at any time by notifying Rocky Mountain Cycle Tours via email at
rockymountaincycletours@gmail.com.
If you decide to cancel your trip, the following fees apply at the time we receive written notice of your cancellation:
- Until 91 days: $250 CAD
- 90 to 61 days: 25% of the total trip cost
- 60 to 46 days: 50% of the total trip cost
- 45 to 0 days: 100% of the total trip cost
