Since 1977, Rocky Mountain Cycle Tours has been offering cycling and hiking tours to travellers from all around the world.
Established in the mountain town of Canmore, Alberta, Canada. A mere 25km away from the world-famous town of Banff and Banff National Park. We are one of the few locally owned and family-operated tour operators, focused and dedicated to sharing this awe-inspiring landscape that we get to call home with you.

Meet the Owner
My name is Étienne Labelle, I’m originally from the Laurentian region of the province of Québec. I moved to the Banff National Park area in 2012 to pursue my passion for skiing and cycling. I am also passionate about mountain biking, backcountry skiing and hiking.
In the winter, I’m a professional Ski Patroller at the Lake Louise Ski Resort. This job allows me to be on the slopes of one of the most beautiful resorts in North America but also to see to the safety of our customers and be one of the first responders in the event of an incident.
My professions as a Ski Patroller and Bike Tour Guide allow me to combine my passions and share them with the people around me. During the summer season, I guide most of the cycling trips; allowing me to connect with our guests and ensure the quality of their experience.

Meet the Team
Michaela
Michaela was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She moved to the Bow Valley in 2015 to pursue her love for skiing and adventure.
She is passionate about skiing, biking and hiking. Moreover, she uses her adventures in the outdoors as inspiration as an artist. She creates paintings based on her time exploring the mountains so she can share her experiences. During the winter she is a ski patroller at Lake Louise Ski Resort.
Being a cycling guide allows her to share her passion for the mountains with others while spreading respect for the untamed Rockies and the wildlife who call this place home.
Sean
Sean was born in British Columbia but grew up in the UK. In his twenties, he travelled extensively around the world and worked a few ski seasons in Whistler.
After going home to complete his education, he became a highly successful politics and history teacher. But the outdoors was always calling, so in 2008 he returned to Canada so that he could begin a new career in outdoor recreation.
Since then, he has worked as a hiking guide, canoe guide and bear viewing guide for various firms in and around Whistler and the Rockies. His favourite activity is multi-day backpacking trips, the more remote the better.
Sean has the following certifications: ACMG Assistant Hiking Guide, IGA Apprentice Hiking Guide, Wilderness First Responder, Flatwater Canoe and CSIA Level 1.
Nicolas
Nicolas grew up in the eastern province of Quebec. He currently resides in British Columbia where he completed a bachelor in outdoor leadership from the Thompson River University.
He’s a certified Hiking Guide under the Association of Canadian Mountain Guide. When he’s not leading hiking trips in the Canadian Rockies, you can find him rock climbing, whitewater kayaking and or backcountry skiing in the winter.
Nicolas is looking forward to sharing his passion and love for the great outdoor during your visit to the Canadian Rockies.
Bailey
Bailey grew up in a small town in Northen British Columbia. She currently resides just outside of Kootenay National Park where she’s actively working at becoming a fully accredited Ski Guide under the Association of Canadian Mountain Guide.
When she’s not cycling and hiking with you in the Canadian Rockies, you can find her doing the same with her friends in and around Banff National Park. During the winter, Bailey works as an Avalanche Forecaster for Panorama Ski Resort just outside of Invermere British Columbia.
She looks forward to sharing our knowledge, love and passion for the outdoor during your trip.
Mark or as we call him Mark-cyclopedia
Has been living on the doorstep of Canada’s Premier National, Banff National Park for over two decades. Over the years he has crafted his outdoor skills through many backcountry skiing trips, backpacking trips, fishing adventures, and cycling endeavour in and around the Rocky Mountains National Park.
Before becoming a guide, Mark was an officer in the Canadian Forces, where he served our country through many deployments overseas. During his time as an officer, Mark has earned amazing leadership and outdoor skills.
He’s also a wealth of knowledge when it comes to our national parks, ask him any questions, and we will have an answer for you, hence his nickname, Marck-cyclopedia.
Marek
Marek grew up in the Eastern Township of the French speaking province of Quebec, in eastern Canada. When he’s not leading hiking trips in the Canadian Rockies, you can find him teaching outdoor skills to his students, white-water kayaking, as well as every other outdoor sport.
During the winter months, he works for the local ski hill in Lake Louise as a ski patroller. He’s a certified Hiking Guide under the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides.
He looks forward to meeting you and sharing his love for the outdoor with you during your time together in the Canadian Rockies.
